Eck must be a lot holier than the Pope because one of the conditions the Turks made when he visited Hagia Sophia in Istanbul was that HE NOT PRAY. He might also be concerned with the fact that at partition the Muslim population of India was 8%, the Hindu population of Pakistan was about 10%. Sixty years of persecution and harassment in Pakistan, particularly the 1970 murders of millions in East Pakistan has reduced the Hindu Population to about 1% whilst the Muslim population in India has jumped to 14.6% and is expected to go to 18% by the end of the decade.
