What an amazing amount of bigotry. (Substitute ‘Jew” or ‘black’ for gay and the bigotry is obvious.)
For centuries, God was cited as a reason to persecute Jews. To deny women equal rights. To support the rights of monarchs. God is apparently on the side of those with power.
Gays have always been an easy target — one denounces as a sin something most folk simply aren’t interested in doing anyway. Rectitude on the cheap!
As for the “unnatural” crap, that comes from Plato’s (false) claim that animals of the same sex do not have sex with each other. So a human variation which occurs in all human populations somehow becomes “unnatural”.
While plenty of human societies have recognized same-sex relationships and managed to have perfectly satisfactory family lives.
And I own a Ford and it’s perfectly good car. Of course, it is from Ford Australia and that may make a difference.
