Harvard (along with the world of higher education in general) has, for many years, self-selected its way toward the politically correct, toward leftist dogma, and away from the respect it SHOULD desire as a bastion of free and open inquiry. Once an institution defines itself as a gaurdian of any flavor of dogma, credibility will be lost, perhaps forever. If Harvard continues to pander to political correctness in this shameful way, it’s possible that one day people may scoff at a Harvard education rather than revere it. Harvard should publicly apologize to Professor Swamy, beg his forgiveness, and hand Professor Eck her walking papers.
