All my vehicles except one have been a Ford make. I have owned Mustangs since I was 16 years old. I currently own 4 Fords and no other. To say that I have been a dedicated Ford fan is an understatement.

I have known for awhile that Ford has been in financial trouble. I bought my last Ford without concern about 1 month before I found out the extent to which Ford supports gay rights. I have learned that as of 2007, Ford is about half the company they were 8 years ago regarding size. Sales and profit are falling like lead in water. Ford has announced yet another employee lay-off/buy-out. Yet while Ford is struggling and laying off people who worked there for years, Ford is aggressively spending large amounts of money on domestic partnership benefits and supporting gay rights initiatives nationwide.

So at Ford, gay is in. Everything else including profit is out. Ford is mixing politics with business. They don’t mix. There seem to be many reasons to not have anything to do with Ford or Ford dealerships anymore? How about another? There are many other car makers out there who make as good or better cars and trucks. Why was I a Ford fan to begin with?
