Hi, All! Have been enjoying reading the discussion up until Jack T. and his wannabe-sinister-comment. I’ve lived in rural Georgia for thirty years where I associate only with those who have overcome the infectious poison you and your kind spew . . .We don’t play your (attempt at) fear-injecting games and you would be surprised, NO DOUBT, at how many of the blacks here are ashamed of attitudes like yours. In the deep south, where the worst is assumed! A (black) friend told me in December that there were many in her circle who admitted to voting solely on race for YourOne and were, LESS THAN A MONTH LATER, bitterly sorry, and felt as if they were coming out of a stupor.(?) Another (black) friend told me two weeks ago how sickened he is by YourOne’s performance, Jack T., and obvious socialist/marxist/commie/backward anti-American agenda. He went on a tirade against those who farm out their children’s identity info b/c the gov’t only allows them to claim two for welfare benefits. He is especially disgusted with one female who brags that she claims two, her boyfriend claims two and someone else, whom SHE PAYS with STOLEN TAX MONEY, claims the other two. That’s six children, learning to work the system b/c of WHAT??? LOW-DOWN SORRINESS!!! I do not respect you, nor anyone like you, as qualified to think yet, Jack T. Quit griping and do something worthwhile.

Here’s a link to a respectable website that will enlighten you, Fred, OOYO, and your other little friends who need facts that aren’t revised editions. The site has essays written by Elizabeth Wright, Thomas Sowell, and others who take pride in THEIR PERSONAL abilities and contributions.

btw, they also address affirmative action, reparations and other disgraces, but the above link takes you to an article about blacks who were slaveowners (in the US, not the ones who sold the slaves to be brought here). . .since you seem to have a long-worn-out issue there. Affirmative action was NOT intended to be guided by quotas but, like gov’t programs do, they get out of hand, out-of-context and the non-thinkers bully in. As far as reparations, that’s the most insane robbery ever suggested. Someone told me about 15 years ago that the US would be in another civil war and I thought it was not-quite-preposterous-but-almost?? YourOne may indeed be the one to facilitate such a hostile environment. . .

And a story about Davy Crockett’s address to Congress on matters of largesse: http://www.theadvocates.org/library/christian-crockett.html

This is really disconcerting. . .but y’all are very entertaining and intelligent! Thank you for making my first visit so valuable.

My Mama gave me a plaque when I was a youngster with this simple phrase:

“God gives every bird its food but does not throw it into the nest.” She would be proud for it to be my signature!
