For all you that say this boycott is not effective, it sure hasn’t helped ford’s financial situation. Yes they sell crappy cars. Yes Honda’s and Toyota’s are much better vehicles. I think Ford is tanking, because of mismanagement, but also due to a boycott. For 800k people to say they won’t buy your product, that is a bad thing. Reguardless if you agree with the boycott or not it has had quite an affect on the company. Now the other side to Ford, as for the two other domestics as well, Unions kill your business. It costs Honda 23 dollars an hour on average to pay an employee, because it doesn’t pay all the stupid union crap. The Honda employees start at 50 dollars an hour (including wages and benefits) and that is sure enough for a starting job. When it costs Ford more than that to produce a inferior product, then costs go up. That is why domestics cost the same as a “import”. I quote “import” because Honda actually per vehicle produced, is the most American. 80 is north american made and assembled. Ford sucks, GM sucks (thats why honda makes things for them), and DODGE REALLY SUCKS. Shame on the American companies for selling out and leaving us out to dry. I am glad the imports gave us a choice not to pay crappy union workers too much money not to work. The boycott hurts no matter how you see it. Look at the facts. Nobody makes a better car than Honda. Period.
