There are a lot of comments on here doubting the AFA’s seriousness as an organization. I can tell you this…..I am a member and have been very impressed with their activities. They identify many issues that are in direct conflict with common moral standards of most Americans, not just christian righties. To that end, they are extremely organized, professional, and efficient at having the appropriate points of contacts for these issues get absolutely bombarded with e-mails/signed petitions. The results have been impressive but as one of the above poster’s here mentioned, you will not see or hear about it in the mainstream media. Oh yeah, the AFA is also funded by donations of members and non-members and with the amount of money it takes to do battle in today’s political/business arena, that should be a direct indicator as to how legitimate their membership base is. Oh yeah, I think most “liberals” would be surprised at how much they hold in common with a conservative if they just took the time to sit down and answer some basic position questions.
