I have been a long, long-time Ford fan since acquiring my first car, ’68 Mustang, bought another ’69 and an ’82 – had kids, got a Ford wagon (was that a Country Squire?) and later a ’91 F150, ’97 F150 and finally a ’99 F250 (got horses too, needed a bigger truck). One of your commenters stated it clearly and correctly, as a patriotic American I would have kept on buying Fords, even if some of them are junk (the ’97 comes to mind after replacing the motor a THIRD time) – but I cannot support anyone who supports an organization that seeks to subvert my citizenship rights (Hate Crimes Laws), or that seeks to eliminate my formerly freedom of speech, or one that will ultimately deny me the authority to raise my children as I deem appropriate; heck, if the Gay activists get their way, I won’t even have a say what the school systems indoctrinate into MY children. Nope, just can’t do it. I just bought a new SUV less 30 days ago, guess you know it was NOT a Ford. I’m also in the market for a car for my sweet 16 y.o. – right again, it will NOT be a Ford. PS Please inform your readers of Ford’s affiliates, someone is sadly mistaken to think that driving a Volvo distances them from Ford.
