I am a loving and supportive mother of a lesbian daughter and gay son, as well as two straight children. I’ve read a lot of ignorance in the expressed comments. There is no “gay agenda,” unless you call the desire for equal rights a gay agenda. There is no one “gay lifestyle,” just as there is no one heterosexual lifestyle; we’re all different. It’s painful for me to see how fearful and hateful the AFA and some of the commentators are.
When will “liberty and justice for all” include all my children without certain segments of the population becoming unglued? My family values embrace all my children, not just those who happen to be in the majority.
