Great post. Most pro-diversity race hustlers argue that the reason it’s necessary is because companies, universities, etc., automatically favor white men – that white men are the largest default affirmative action group-and diversity policies temper that and force companies to hire equally qualified non-white people. The irony of course, is that because of affirmative action policies in schools and universities, and the dumbing down of our standards, there are less qualified non-white people to choose from in a colorblind hiring process. If we got rid of every affirmative action and diveristy program, it would force people to work hard and raise the bar again. And I don’t think, this day and age, companies are so ignorant to only hire white men if given the choice. We have made progress in our society and we should be given credit for it.
