The “Boston Tea Party” was the beginning of our Revolution. Is this what we really want? Are we willing to send the same message, and back it up at a new “Lexington and Concorde” the way our Founders did? Are we ready to start shooting some of our fellow citizens in a civil war?
Unless you are willing to ultimately shed blood if pushed to it, or fight a real civil war if necessary, if it comes to that, then these demonstrations won’t ultimately mean much.
The problem is that liberals, Marxists, and Democrats refuse to leave the rest of us alone. They insist on everybody doing things their way, and only their way. Most of us on the right simply want to be left alone; neither overtaxed or over-regulated. Demonstrations won’t make a dent in the left’s mind set. Saying “no” won’t make a difference to them, even if enforced by the 2010 elections. They’ll simply call our bluff, retrench if necessary, and carry on as before. You should all read the writings of Saul Alinsky some time.
Some Russina academic recently prophiszed that within a decade America will break appart from political turmoil. He may have something. Worldnetdaily.net editor Joe Farah pointed out after the election that the differences between the left(Democrats) and conservatives(including Republicans and Libertarians) are so far apart now that Americans should consider dividing the country and allowing each political outlook/ideology to separate so that we can all live in peace. When nearly half of the voters viscerally oppose the “winner’s” plan to “spread the wealth” and move us to where we don’t want to go, ignoring our protests, using pressure tactics to achieve what consensus can’t, what can come of it other than an eventual civil war, if the other half doesn’t back off and leave us something?
Further, the left intends to absolutely and positively silence conservative talk radio one way or another. What they don’t realize is that would almost insure an eventual civil war. Take away our right to speak, and have others speak messages familiar to our ears over the radio, and what do we have left? The left should be careful of what they ask for, because they may get it. And much more in unintended consequences besides.
History will know whether or not we “crossed the Rubicon” with these “Tea Parties” and put the nation on the path towards civil war between two competing ideologies, or whether they caused the political environment to change in deference to our objections, and changed the track we are being dragged down against our wills.
