My husband and I are among those who boycotted. I’m pleased to read the article and see that it has been felt. Volvo, being owned by Ford, was our desired replacement commuter car (XC90). We are two years into the decision not to buy Ford products and we are very pleased that the nearly-eighteen-yr-old Accord is functioning flawlessly with 210K (and it was stolen and wrecked when only five weeks old!) If we get our Volvo, it will have to be pre-owned unless the boycott is lifted. We love to buy American, but only if it will strengthen the country from the inside. Ford’s stance is one that will only weaken the US.
