Ayaan Hirsi Ali, no stranger to criticism of Islam herself, argues that Wilders should not air a movie whose sole and exclusive aim is to provoke and to insult – and she is right.

No. She is totally incorrect. We have a whole section of comedy that is about nothing but insults. As far as a movie being a “provocation”, it would take a hair-trigger to be provoked by such (to violence) and anyone or any group that has such a hair-trigger cannot be expected to live in a peaceful coexistence for any extended period of time, anyway, as some minor provocation (that normal, sane people would just brush off) would eventually drive the poor, offended muslims to inane violence. Maybe “The Three Little Pigs” story, as they are so worried about in England, or maybe something equally stupid.

Any country that allows its speech to be regulated by islam deserves what they get – and that’s pretty bad stuff.
