First, the calls by some in the Muslim community to prevent the showing of Wilders movie (as offensive as it is) should of course not be heeded and those in the government the want to suppress the garbage that Wilders puts out should not be allowed to do so.
Wilders is trying to bring this to a head while the Netherlands is still marginally Dutch. Beats all hell out of waiting until it’s a majority muslim nation.
Now that’s just silly. There is only ~17% non-ethnic Dutch population in the Netherlands of which ~9% is not Western European and less than 6% of all of them Muslim.
As a Westerner, I know what I hope happens, and it doesn’t involve Muslims becoming more tolerant. I hope that soon I don’t have to hear about Muslims’ “opinion” on anything, much less what they think of my analysis of their “religion”.
So what do you hope happens? Do site rules prevent you from expressing what you hope happens?
