I assume you mean “fairness and equality” in the eyes of the law, correct? If you do, then we agree on that.
If not, and you are applying this term to economics, how can you have “liberty” when you have an ideology that also wants “fairness and equality”?

If I have ‘liberty” to make or create as much wealth as I want, to live where I want, to go as I please, and to buy what I wish, what happens when those in charge decide that I have too much, and that doesn’t represent “fairness and equality”? Do they have the right to take it from me because they think it’s fair? Doesn’t “fairness” have to do with both sides agreeing that it’s fair? If I don’t think it’s “fair” but you think it’s “fair”, exactly how is that fair? And does taking it from me and giving it to someone else really make us “equal”?

If I continue to produce more than someone else, and the powers in charge keep taking it from me to give to someone else, how exactly is that fair? Does this not breed contempt? Again, How do you reconcile “liberty” with “fairness and equality”?

As for collectivism not being “dangerous”, how exactly do you enforce collectivism without some sort of totalitarianism? Unless everyone agrees to share all the wealth and assets equally, and agree to it without coercion, then you’re talking about forcing people to be collectivists, which again breeds contempt and class envy.
Why work twice as hard as someone else if you are only going to receive the same benefit? For the good of the collective?
Haven’t seen that mentality last for too long.

As far as I’m concerned, “liberty” trumps “fairness and equality” in the economic realm. You will never be able to have both at the same time.
