What was odd, was Gregg accepting the job in the first place. It was not as if Obama had hidden what he was going to ask for in the stimulus plan. Still you have to admire his guts to pull out and his general support of Obama in doing so

As we move forward, I expect there will be many issues and initiatives where I can and will work to assure the success of the president’s proposals. This will certainly be a goal of mine.”
