#10 which conservatives are working for the economy to spin out of control? What I see is Republicans rediscovering fiscal conservativism and taking a stand against the bankruptUS bill. Fiscal conservatives (and we are not just from the South, I’m from Chicago) do not work for, or hope for economic collapse or stagnation. We do see at least the latter, and possibly the former, coming. Excessive spending and borrowing by citizens encouraged by our government (both parties) got us into this mess. Government spending more borrowed money will only make it worse. Fiscal conservatives’ hope is just that, if we do have to endure this insanity, those who are not too far lost to socialist ideoogy will come to their senses and help us return to sanity.
