Hollywood has been dead for a long time. Hollywood existed because nobody else could produce those epics and musicals. Audience enjoy Judy Garland’s, Fred Astaire’s, … dances and songs. They were doing something that no one else could do. Audience enjoy Casa Blanca, they enjoy the story, the beautiful Ingrid Bergman, the memorable music. Audience enjoy Gone With the Wind, enjoy Vivian Leigh’s beauty and glamour, enjoy the story, the movie set. Audience enjoy Betty Davis’, Barbara Stanwyck’s acting, Gary Cooper’s, John Wayne’s screen-heroism, Jimmy Stewart’s “Americanness”.

What does Hollywood have now? Their “stars” are not particularly talented, nor are they particularly glamourous. There are no memorable stories, no non-computer generated extravagant sets, no memorable music. What they have are brainless arrogant over paid under talented loud mouths. Why would anybody want to pay to see them?
