Unlike the Democrats, who want to occupy the White House at any cost (even Bill Clinton!), Republicans have some standards. Rush Limbaugh has questioned whether nominating certain of these candidates might not actually destroy the party (Clinton abolished welfare, balanced the budget and filled the Congress with Republican majorities, along with adopting many other Republican measures). We’re interested in our agenda, not our egos.
Meanwhile, the Democrats are facing exactly the same inability to decide.
