Most of the comments from the people who have actually seen the programmes say they are rather pro-American; I will have to takle their words for it since I have not seen the shows. Although one has to wonder what “pro-American” means in today’s Britain. I lived there for two years — this was in 1991-1993 — and was stunned to say the least about the amount of hostility there was there toward Americans and their society. I only imagine it’s much worse today. I personally love Americans, their culture and the gifts they have given the world in many forms, the lastest being Obama. I don’t think British culture could allow for an Obama in their midst. Is there a BBC series about that? Anyone know?
