Ron Paul wrote the newsletters or knew exactly what was in them. He is lying about this and everyone knows that. No principled person allows a newsletter to go out under his name with strong opinions expressed without reading the content. Those of you who doubt this are simply stupid. He may have been delivering babies but he had political aspirations and an interest in keeping his name in front of his base.
A lot of what Ron Paul says may be true. But this case shows in this instance he will lie unashamedly if needed.
One other thing – the war is constitutional. Just as much as the Louisiana Purchase, most of the wars we have fought. And under Ron Paul’s current logic the US would not have entered WWII. We would have let Hitler take over Europe and tried to develop an effective relationship with him. Obviously at the end of the Depression we did not have the money for a two front war, that was only caused by our earlier intervention at the end of WWI. Ron Paul who is right on much domestic policy, is completely ignorant of foreign policy and America’s role in the world.
