This is a problem that one election won’t fix. Every time a left wing administration comes in, the pack the entrenched bureaucracy with hard partisans, who being part of public unions are nearly impossible to replace. Right wing administrations make right wing political appointments, but don’t shove partisans into the bureaucracy at nearly the same rate. They often even try to be fair. Over time the government keeps being shoved hard left no matter whom is elected.
