These sorts of disasters are far more a local and state responsibility than a federal one. Surely the Feds can help, but it is not wise for state and local governments to rely on them or abdicate their responsibilities in such matters.
With that said, this ice storm does go a long way in exposing the sheer hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of the media and the Left. Once again they demonstrate that human suffering and misery is nothing more than a tool to be used to further their agenda. If it does not fit their narrative, it simply does not matter. If it does fit their narrative they exploit it to the maximum.
