Obama’s Bipartisan Stimulus Plan: Neither Stimulative Nor Bipartisan
Hmmmm, interesting items in this “Stimulus Bill”
Y’know what it looks like to me?
It appears as though the Democrats’ core constituencies aren’t as sanguine about their chances in ’10 or ’12 as they publicly say, so they want their payoff right now.
“Money up front, if you please”.
This has the stink of the Weimar economy, when workers would get paid by the hour and throw their bundles of depreciating marks out the factory windows to their wives, who would dump it into wheelbarrows and hustle off to buy bread or ANYTHING of value before the currency devalued below the price of the staple necessities.
Does it not?
We do something of this nature in the unionized maritime world, it’s called:
“Hit ‘em and Run”
All you need is a mediocre imagination, a passing knowledge of the contract, and your “Overtime Pencil”.
