Great article, Annie, very amusing, nice to see someone take the LA Times to task. The comments from Jim Newton were particularly revealing. If David Simon (The Wire) wants to know the real reason why so many once-great newspapers are falling apart, he need look no further than this drivel from the Times. Newspapers are losing educated readers because they no longer employ educated writers. From my experience at the university, the journalism students were the second dumbest bunch of campus, eclipsed only by the education majors.
