Dr. Ron Paul has an amazing talent to foresee possible repercussions down the road when new laws are being voted on now. I feel this is why he was so worried about the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He knew that by allowing the federal government to waltz in and tell restaurants what to do (because they are private properties) even though it seemed necessary at the time, it ultimately would allow the government to infringe upon anyone’s private property which is happening today (such as the latest imminent domain ruling by the Supreme Court only a couple of years ago). As far as all these writings, I have no idea who wrote them. It’s true he should’ve kept up with them but I’m sure if he didn’t write them, he has learned his lesson well. As far the part mentioning “black beauty pageants” or “black television stations”, can you imagine what would happen if there were “white beauty pageants”? Even if it sounds bigoted and racist, you really have to think about it. That’s why Dr. Paul supports individual rights as opposed to grouping people. And this country is based on freedom of speech and the press. If he loses the election because of these writings, then it’s his own fault but I still feel his wisdom is what this country needs now to fix the economy.
