Let us assume that the Ron Paul did not write a single word of the Ron Paul Newsletter passages the New Republic reports. What does this mean? does it not mean that for month after month, for year after year Paul was allowing other people to publish highly offensive statements under his name. If Paul was not aware of the content of his newsletters he was lazy, because he should have read what went out under his name. If he knew what had been written and allowed it to be published under his name, then he was just as responsible as if he had written it himself.
Right wing Republicans believe than only Democrats, liberals, members of racial, ethnic and sexual minorities should be responsible for their words and actions. Conservatives and “libertarians” are excused from all responsibilities.
