Why does the world hate Israel and/or the U.S.? The answer is simple.

Envy.

Residents of third world hellholes (and Europe is well on its way) see how Americans and Israelis live our lives, and become very upset that our quality of life is denied them. They see the success, but not the hard work done to create that success. Their leaders and media portray us as takers instead of doers, to excuse their own incompetence and corruption.

I cannot overstate the culpability of the world media establishment in this matter. There are too many editorialists, and not enough journalists. Too many of them propagate prejudice instead of facts.

Mr. Yon is a journalist, and that’s why I pay close attention to everything he writes.
