I take it you supported the Vietnam War. In 1969 I was training to be an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam. An instructor stopped one of our classes to tell us that we were lucky becasue they had just figured out how to end the war. “We’re going to identify the 100,000 best Vietnamese, get them safely off shore on ships, then nuke the place and pave it over in asphalt. Then we’ll sink the ships.” It got a big laugh.
