Listen. I’m not an RP backer, not by a long shot, but I am one of his constituents here in the TX 14th Congressional District. Prior to entering public life Dr. Paul was an obstetrician in Brazoria County southeast of Houston. If he was really a racist why would he choose to deliver babies over a two decade span in an impoverished county that’s at least 40% minority? It just doesn’t compute.
For a fairly smart guy, though, Dr. Paul is capable of taking some truly idiotic positions. I’ll be backing his congressional opponent, whoever he is, in the Republican primary in March. I’m looking forward to voting this goofball out of office.
