Edwards made reference to such behavior during the democratic debate. I do not remember the words but had to do with the extremes those behind will go to for the win. I feel that is exactly what this is. I am an Obama supporter but I also like Ron Paul. I also feel that some of the things referenced here as ‘racist’ are simply a stating of fact and have been labeled racist by association, that is unfortunate. I grew up in south Alabama. For many years, once I began to really consider the race issue, I felt I had been a racist. I now know that was a misguided assumption, I was not. I was raised by my mother to respect the rights and integrety of all people, young, old, black , white, it did not matter, I always have. At the same time there was an ‘environmentally’ taught fear of black men just as the same environment taught black children to never trust a white person. That does not imply racism, it’s just the way things were at the time. It was something that we had to evolve from and we have. We have come along way since the schools here were first intergrated in my early teens and i am proud of the progress we have made, black and white together. It is only through the combined efforts of black ,white and all other races that our country and world might prosper. I made it a point to share my experiences with the daughter I raised so that she might see the world with wider open eyes and she does. Ron Paul is not a racist, that is not difficult for anyone to see!
