Joe says:”as an independant he will only take away votes needed to defeat the socialist leaning Dems.”

Joe – I appreciate the spirit of your post, but what about the socialist leaning Republicans? Do you ever ask yourself why we finally get ‘our guy’ in office, and nothing changes. In fact, we get more socialism, more degradation of civil liberties, more governmental involvement at all levels? We get a deeper submersion of our national sovereignty into multilateral trade management organizations and other NGO’s. We get a debased currency that destroys the middle and lower classes to finance fanciful dreams of a world order dominated by the American business interests.

I am praying that, should paul not get the GOP nod, he can be coaxed into running on the Constitution/Libertarian parties as a fusion candidate. In a 4 way race (GOP, Dems, Bloomberg, Paul), we’ve got a real chance to take a plurality of the vote. I’m hoping that the Dem is Clinton, because Obama is the candidate of the other three that could most hurt Paul. McCain getting the GOP nod is the best scenario for Paulites (of course, assuming Paul doesn’t win the GOP spot outright).
