In one way the Palestinians are the most honest people in the world. Certainly Hamas makes no pretext about wanting Israel destroyed. They won’t even lie about it to secure a false peace while they re-arm and get ready for the next battle. They would rather suffer in squalor than lie about wanting to live in peace with Israel as a neighbor. They are so devoted to this they will even sacrifice their children to the cause.
Lying about the number of dead is minor compared to not wavering from the truth of their final goals. The Europeans aren’t stupid. They are aligned with the same goals so it really doesn’t matter to them what Hamas does or publishes as long as it is anti Israel.
