Some of you guys need to stop all the chest beating and read the book and watch the movie again. All of the actual marines portrayed in the movie/book agree with what happened, except for some of the senior officers/enlisted who were savaged for incompetence. Of course it’s anti-war, the soldiers on the front line will be the first to tell you of the horrors they witnessed. Did you expect them to come out all feeling great and not having horrible flashbacks
Jesus, get a mitt and catch a clue. If you don’t like what you saw then write your own fricking book. In the end the story told makes me have more respect for the frontline soldiers who were over there.
