On Waziristan– Roger, I think you were right to ask him that, and he was right to shoot you down. People need to both know about the contingencies, and also realize that there are things they won’t and can’t hear from their candidates for strategic reasons.
He’s definitely fully up to speed on foreign policy and is ready to lead from day one. He didn’t take the same “I told you so” tack that he had with Glenn and Helen (which is his greatest attraction, that sometimes when he’s gone off on his own way he’s been right).
I liked Claudia’s question at the end.
On energy policy, he was more specific than Rudy was. I’d love to see a Thompsonesque policy document on it.
I kind of wish that there had been time to ask Michael Totten’s question about Kurdistan. I suppose that he wouldn’t have been able to answer that directly anyway.
