I don’t know how the man who led so well on Sep. 11 2001 could come across so poorly. I’ve been a “Rudy man” all along but now, I don’t know.
When Miss Rosett asked, almost pleadingly with those piercing green eyes, about crucial matters like the blatant revolt of the State Dept. and the literal counterproductive nature of the UN, I felt it was incumbent upon the good Mayor to give a concrete answer. I’m not politically savvy, so maybe it would be out of line to suggest that State be scoured clean of any anti-administration (un-American?) sentiment, but he could’ve locked my vote in for life if he even came close to getting that one right.
I don’t know who Giuliani expects to win over with that pile of mush he just spewed all over PJMs high quality production, but unless clear thinking is now become passe in the era of “change”…Oh, wait a minute, what was I thinking? The ones spouting off about change are moving to the front of the line so I guess that’s all Rudy need do, is just start chanting “change”.Maybe even, with a little, “for the children”, on the side.
Bottom line: Mr. Simon is fine, but you must have Claudia Rosett do as many of these interviews as possible. If you can’t give her a straight answer, there’s something wrong with you.
