Wow, people are griping that he didn’t appear at the veterans ball. What he actually does in office for veterans should be what he is judged on. Back in 2007, the shoddy and despicable care of wounded American vets at Walter Reed was exposed, prompting Shalala and Dole to head up an investigation. Where was George Bush’s leadership then?
