Europeans for centuries have managed to distance themselves from Jews, whether it be through common laws, pogroms, libels, holocausts, inquisitions all part of the legacy of European estrangement from Jews. European Muslims feel somewhat appeased because they’re free to practice their hatred of Jews in an organized and legal fashion with impunity, just like they did back home before immigrating to Europe. A common disdain of something unites two groups that would otherwise not cross paths, but will overlook those differences when it comes to shared condemnation.
