I think Fred is running only because a bunch of us asked him to, several months ago.

He’s an intelligent, perceptive man. He knows what a huge task that being the President has to be, and he quite resonably would rather do anything else but take that on. But, like other patriots in other times, he is honoring the requests of his countrymen and the call to duty.

I’d rather have a reluctant Washington than an eager (fill in the blank with your pick as the worst serving president ever). (mine is Jimmy Carter)
