Kevin: sure hope you are right. As a Boomer myself let me say, however, that boomers, or at least the liberal ones, do not really believe in “altruism via the State”. They they are just opportunists and spoiled brats. Top that off with the fact that thet are not all that bright. If they really understood what Obama and Co. was really up to and understood the consequences to their own lives, they never would have voted him in. This is not because they care about the country, this is because they only care about themselves.
The “Obama boomers” are too self centered and ignorant to understand how America got to where it did in the last half of the last century an they are to narcissistic to stave off America’s decline. At any rate, these boomers are not the true power behind the Democrats; the real power behind the throne is a mixture of American and international socialist and tranzi elites. They view America as the chief obstacle to their goals and will destroy her at all costs. That goal is world government under an entrenched elite.
I am afraid that even 5 years of these jackels in power will ruin this nation as a major power or even as a “first world” nation.
If you want to see our future look at leftist oligarchies such as Mexico or Brazil (or poerhaps now the UK).
I fear that the apogee of America has occurred in my lifetime. We in for seep humiliation and decline.
There will have to be a major cultural awakening in this country if this fate it to be averted. The sad thing is that we have brought this upon ourselves. It need not have been.
