Really ? I’ve not seen much evidence of particularly sterling accomplishments to this point in his 48 odd years. (unless you consider voting “present” in the Illinois legislature and hardly voting at all in the US legislature as accomplishments)
His lucrative career as community organizer was, ultimately, so personally discouraging that he boogied off to Hahvard.
Was defending his (legal) client ACORN an accomplishment ? I missed that one…
I am happy to agree that Obama does not have what passes for “normal” patriotism among the GOP. He is far too intelligent to be so short-sighted.
Here’s an inkling (more than an inkling 
) of that “élitist” attitude I just mentioned.
