In the red light district of Amsterdam women sell sex and are not prosecuted for it, unlike most other places in the world. Selling sex is as old as the world and happens everywhere. Making it unlawful doesn’t change that. But when it is illegal, women have to operate secretive and are vulnerable to exploitation. I salute Amsterdam for making an effort to provide women (who want this) with a save place to work.
