Yes, Marie Claude, that’s my point: America did not sign the Versailles Treaty, it had no colonies in the Middle-East, as France and Britain did, and, hence, can’t bear the entire blame for everything that’s gone wrong in the Middle-East during the 20th Century.

My overall point is that I am disagreeing with Pete, and those like him, who blame America (and, by association, Israel) for everything that’s gone wrong in the Middle-East, up to, and including, 9/11, blaming it for “screwing up” the rest of the world. The US isn’t perfect, but, when it comes to world-screwing, it’s had plenty of help. And the Moslem world isn’t a peaceful paradise, by any means.

It’s Pete who’se claiming Europeans lived in mud huts, and are Neanderthals, compared to Islam; you might want to direct some criticism against him, as this is, of course, sheer BS.
