Somehow I just don’t think that full-blown Jew-hatred ever really took hold in the US. (insert sarcasm tag) Probably has held us back from really being Euro-civilized, dontcha know. (end sarcasm tag). I wrote a meditation on this a couple of years ago on The Daily Brief.

We know ‘of’ antisemitism’ – but I don’t think most Americans really ‘know’ full blown, kill-the-jews, pogram-style antisemitism.
