susan, Marx may have been born Jewish but he was not raised Jewish. His father Heinrich converted to Lutheranism, and when Karl Marx was about 154, his father married a Christian. According to wikipedia, Heinrich was also a big fan of Voltaire. Voltaire’s contempt for Jews and Judaism are no secret.
