In 2004 Republicans won the White House with a substantial part of the Latino vote. Democrats realized they better do something or they would continue to lose the Latino vote, without which they would always lose elections. So in 2005 they sent their provocateurs, La Raza (which is the Democratic Party in the Latino “diaspora”), and others, into the community to instigate big marches and rallies. Remember the marches demanding immigrant’s rights and waving the Mexican flags? That was 2005 and that was when all this started. The purpose of that was to create a backlash among conservatives that would put an end to the successful strategy of the Republicans under Bush to woo Latino voters. It was a huge success on the part of the Democrats, even better than their “pin Katrina on the elepant” game was. They have been playing it like a Stradivarius ever since. They don’t call the Republicans the “stupid party” for nothing.
