Oh Peter the Substitute.

At #337: There you go hiding behind definitions, and ignoring the reality on the ground. I already gave you my definition of terror – it is not a geopolitical definition but one rooted in experience. Sovereignty, by the way, has been long ignored as a concept by Israel when it comes to their neighbors. And by the way, when you say ‘all civilized countries’ (for the time being lets ignore the racism inherent behind the word ‘civilized’), it makes me think of the vast majorities of the world’s nations who have tried to pass UN resolutions to curb Israel’s excessive force. But every time, the U.S. is the only country to veto it. To me it sounds like Israel’s side is in the minority. One glance at world opinion over the events of the last 3 weeks confirms that.

At #338: Peter: you can’t even empathize with a poor kid who knows not between right and wrong? Your hatred consumes you… why do you see every Palestinian as ‘fighting for the destruction… etc’? Most of them are just trying to live peaceful lives, just like many Israelis.

And you would have me believe that the Israeli military does no indoctrination of their own? That Israelis are not taught to hate Palestinians, are not taught the idea of greater Israel encompassing more land than falls within Israel’s boundaries? And unlike in Palestine, military service in Israel is not voluntary. Men have to do it. No choice. That, my friend, is true indoctrination.

At #339: No I think over the years I have seen many reports in the mainstream media about Israeli houses in settlements getting hit by rockets, and also about suicide bombings in Israel (which, by the way, might very well start again thanks to the current military operation). Its just that over the last 3 weeks, those are few and far between.
