When chuck Shumer had nice things to say about gingrich’s local red card plan–I instantly understood what he meant. He meant that the red card local system could be completely gamed.

What the local red card jury system for deporting people comes down to is that democratic districts–every illegal will be waved through–even if they came over the border yesterday. Why? Because the rules are open to interpretation. And even if they aren’t open to interpretation–since the locals are the ultimate judges–even if the rules say one thing–the locals can rule any way they want. So if you have a county where 80% of the people speak spanish and 40% of those are illegal–all the illegals will be waved through.

In republican districts–illegals will have to have been here for 25 years. A bar that few will be able to hurdle. So they’ll be forced out.

The result of this will be the further polarization of the country.
