No. The real trick, the key, is to treat the barbarian as the barbarian would and does do to us. If their filthy actions, including murder, still entail them to mercy, surely the reaction of other folk to them, even in a lethal manner, should equally result in mercy and tolerance.
If killing infidels is okay because its just part of their culture, who is to judge if persecuting Muslims becomes part of ours?
