In a nutshell, it may be better to have a Democratic President kissing Conservative butts, than a GOP President kissing the Liberals’.

Obama, despite his campaign rhetoric, isn’t going to do anything all that unprecedented, lest he really becomes “The One”…and ONLY.
His worshippers on the Left don’t have anyone else to cast their lot in with anyway, and Obama knows this.
And I suspect that he is VERY conscious that if he really mucks things up, he’ll be pissing in the pool for any other African-American presidential candidate for a long time to come.
Now if he’d only release his Certificate of Live Birth and put that nagging little issue to bed permanently…
